Public Wash

I have been very blessed in my life and have never the burden of having to take my laundry to the public laundry mats. At my parents we had a dedicated room with multiple sets of washers and dryers so my large family was never without clean clothes. Even when I moved out at 18 I had a washer and dryer set in every apartment and house I stayed in.

The luxury of being able to do laundry as I please made my hectic life that much simpler. I could put a load in the wash and leave with the peace of mind my clothes would be left unbothered and ready for the fryer when I returned. Laundry was true set on my schedule.

Recently we found a leak in our apartment and I have been forced to put washer out of commission until my laundry room is fixed.

I now know the struggle of having to haul my dirty laundry into a public space for any Tom, Dick, or Harry to see. I have to sit and wait on the cycle to finish and then quickly take the clothes from the wash before an inpatient prude to removes them on their own.

Not only is this a stressful situation I know have to actually make time for my laundry. I have to find the time to take it to the laundry mat and sit with them.

The worst part about laundry use to just be folding it and put it away, now the whole process sucks.
